Hi, I’m Georgi.

Bulgarian Food, Drinks, Stop motion Photographer/videographer, based in Sofia.

Photography has always been my way of telling stories, and food quickly became my favorite subject. There’s something magical about capturing the perfect moment—the steam rising from a fresh cup of coffee, the golden drizzle of honey, or the glistening textures of a ripe fruit. Over the years, I’ve refined my craft, blending my love for food, light, and composition to create images that don’t just showcase dishes but evoke a craving.

Set decor

The setting of a photograph is just as important as the subject itself. I carefully select backgrounds, props, and lighting to create an atmosphere that enhances the dish’s character. A rustic wooden table with natural textures can add warmth to a homemade comfort dish, while a sleek, modern surface can highlight the elegance of fine dining. Every detail—from the choice of tableware to the soft play of shadows—works together to tell a story and evoke the right mood.

Food styling

A well-styled dish is the difference between a simple photo and an image that makes you taste the food just by looking at it. I focus on the small but crucial details: the way fresh herbs are placed, the natural drips of a glossy sauce, or the perfect balance between structure and spontaneity. Whether it’s capturing the delicate flakiness of a pastry or the vibrant freshness of a salad, I ensure every element is thoughtfully arranged to look natural, appetizing, and full of life.

WHY I DO THIS

Through years of experimenting with composition, lighting, and styling, I’ve refined my approach to food photography. My goal is to create images that make you feel the flavors—whether it’s the warmth of fresh bread, the crispness of a salad, or the indulgence of melted chocolate. Every shoot is a chance to transform ingredients into a visual experience that speaks to both the senses and the imagination.
